University College Cork Western Gateway Building
Project consists of the construction of a new five storey Building with a
Gross Floor Area of 27,000sqm. Scheme includes for associated site
works, widening of the Western Road and the introduction of apedestrian bridge linking the Brookfield Campus
UCC have received a grant from Sustainable Energy Ireland for incorporating a ground source heat pump. The building is naturally ventilated with brise soleil. Solar panels are also incorporated on the roof.
